The Decision Thread

i think this thread should revive now.

^Good luck for Vandy!

Is this thread for freshman applicants only? :D and how come it hasn't revived yet hehe... i thought decisions started comng out like 2 weeks ago :)

So far:
UC Davis - Accepted..

still waiting for the others..

@RougeXgirl: I think people are posting more on the forum of the colleges that they are accepted to..

hey guys!!!

congrats fri3nds04 for getting into UC Davis. R u applying for financial aid???

Me..not a good year so foar. 4 acceptances but they r asking me to pay too much than I can...12 k per year is the least and I had demonstrated my EFC = 5k. Some one had posted in CC - "The colleges are poor so am I"...haha...fits to me :D

any other acceptances????

All of the posters in this thread please post your country and whether u had applied for financial aid..

Thanks jasonshah.. I didn't apply for financial aid because I applyed as a transfer student :) Currently I'm in a CC in California.. So, I am not eligible -_- and I'm from Indonesia :D

fri3nds04...if u can tell me, how much do you have to pay per year? How much scholarship did they give u? I want to know more about the transfer process for international students...i think u r the right person.

do you mean comm. coll by CC? How is the academic and other failities at CCs? It is a good option if u don't have much mmoney to pay and if u r rejected by colls givin u fin. aid.. :D

For UC Davis, I have to pay $29,243 according to what they posted on their website..

What Does UC Davis Cost?

But I think this excluding the housing (because my sister who is in Berkeley paid around $28k for a year only for her tuition fee). UC D didn't give me any scholarship. As what I said in last post, I am not eligible for the financial aid, so I didn't apply. I am not really sure how the financial aid works in UC Davis, but I know that you can apply for financial aid after you transfered for a year if you go to UC Berkeley. I wonder if they give the same option for international students in UC D.

What I meant by CC is community college jasonshah.. :) The academic in CCs, it's ok.. I mean, you can't really compare CCs with universities since CCs are more general in my opinion, at least my CC is :) In my CC, there isn't any chance to do research related to my major. Classes are pretty small (15 - 35 people in a class). Professors (or if you prefer, instructors) are pretty accessible, so you can always go and ask them questions when you are not sure about the homework, or need more explanation with the lecture. :)

CC is a good option if you don't have much money (compared to universities, you still have to pay relatively small amount of money). CC is good if you need some transition from high school to university. It provides smaller classes compared to universities, relatively low tuition fee, and low-division courses.. :D

Hope this would help.. :) Where did you apply to jasonshah?
