I chose to side with the historical precedent.</p>

I like the term “debacle” better. I saw it on a previous thread Defenestration is such an obscure word. They won’t ALL be thrown out windows! And it just conjures up weird images (people who are rejected being…thrown out of buildings? and into…stuff?) But if you’ve already started a topic on it…</p>

<p>Anyway, good luck to all y’all. 6 days left! I know how you all are feeling right now (I applied ED)</p>

<p>I’d say I got defenestrated at Duke enough already. And I remember someone posting Dartmouth Decimation, I thought that was pretty good too.</p>

<p>lol, i posted both the Dartmouth Decimation (originally from Harvard Thread) and suggested Debacle but as someone pointed out, Decimation is killing 1 out of 10, which is the opposite of what is going to happen but still sounds cool and I thought Sherlock’s picture was too good for defenestration to be changed to debacle. lol Sherlock, that pic was hilarious.</p>

<p>When I was making it, I kept thinking “This is the weirdest thing I have done in a really long time. I hope I don’t get shunned or something.” Thankfully CCers appreciate fine art. lol</p>

<p>In my opinion, just the image of us all being thrown out of windows when the decisions come out is hilarious. Nevertheless, can’t wait for Tuesday! (Scientists have determined that Monday will in fact be the longest day in recorded history…ever)</p>

<p>So I’m at my friends laptop. I had already been rejected by Brown, Yale, and Harvard (in that order). I go to the dartmouth page, get my login info, click to view the decision letter aaaaaand</p>

<p>“OMG WHAT IS GOING ON?!”</p>

<p>I am flung out of a ten-story window! I’m falling faster, and faster, and faster. I can see the ground beneath me, thinking over and over “the Ivies totally owned me…” Then suddenly-</p>

<p>I land on the nice feathery mattress that is UChicago. Thanks jdjaguar =) I’m sure I’ll have a great four years</p>
