<p>My son just received the acceptance letter for direct admission to UW computer science today. Watch your mailbox, it could show up any time now .....</p>
<p>Really? This early? Can I ask if in-state or OOS? Stats?</p>
<p>@bill2014 Wow, this is so early! Although I heard that last year’s accepted students received their emails/letters as early as one week after the 15th. What does the mail look like?</p>
<p>It’s in-state. The direct admission letter (big white envelope) post date on 03/19, and we received it on 03/20. The stats: SAT 2270 (Math 800), Full IB student with Physics, GPA 3.85. I’m little bit surprise too, not expect to see it until next week. I was told that they sent out in batch, it seems like they started this week.</p>

<p>@bill2014 what was the letter like? You mean in your welcome packet? Or a letter from the CSE department? What did it say on it? Also, sorry for all of the questions, how much programming experience does he have?</p>
<p>The post mail comes from UW office of Admissions. It includes 3 forms: enrollment confirmation form - that’s where the Major listed as COMPUTER SCI, new student payment form, and decline form, plus welcome brochure. </p>
<p>My son does not receive the DA email so far. Also, in his case, he does not lists any programming experience he had in his application based on what he told me. </p>

<p>Direct admit to Foster 
Just wondering, anyone apply for any of the direct admit scholarships? If so, does anyone know when they will be given out?</p>
