The Disclaimer on UCLA site

I keep reading the small note they have under the UCLA log in page

"NOTE: The decision information on this site is provided in addition to, not instead of, the notifications sent by regular mail. Your decision letter serves as the official document regarding our decision. "

Does that mean if they make a mistake of showing that you got admitted when you actually was rejected, they're not gonna do anything about it?
It kind of freaks me out. Has this happened to anybody?

Yeah.. they’re covering their own butts like everyone else but I strongly doubt they’d make that kind of mistake. But the first time I saw it I was a bit paranoid too.. in terms of I can scream a nd shout of happiness but not rest comfortably until I get a big fat Bruin package. Hope this helps annnd. . . G’luck!

As if we didn’t have enough stress already…Now even after we get admitted, we have to stress out and wait for the fat envelope to know for sure…

=/
=P
Yup.

It never ceases to amaze me how people on this site try to think of as many little tiny things as humanly possible to worry themselves over. O_o

that’s what happens when you have to wait 2 months…

that disclaimer does not surprise me, last year here on CC, there was a student who was rejected from UCLA and he had a really high GPA, we were all really surprised so he decided to call them & try to find out why, come to find out, they made a mistake when reviewing his application & somehow missed a vital math class that he had taken so he ended up getting accepted after all. I am so glad he decided to call them & question the decision

that’s freaky
