The Do Not Exceed One Page Limit, Should I Risk It?

So in the supplement section, the instruction for the essay about how you can contribute to Penn states that "do not exceed one page," is this like one page doubled spaced? My essay and one page doubled space and 1/5 of a second page. Is this alright?

single spaced. if that’s not enough, just decrease the margins a little.
the application deadline already passed, are you a junior or something?

Ok both my penn essays (why penn and autobiography) were 1.5 pages long and I am in. It doesn’t matter just have good quality.

Mine were two pages, but i single-spaced them and messed with the margins/fonts/spacing to make it one page

To me it seems like most people single spaced when it comes to college essays. You can’t get many words in with one page double spaced.

Your 1.2pgs double space would definitely fit one page single spaced.

They only say keep it to one page so that some people don’t write 2+ pages of crap and end up making adcoms have to read it all. :stuck_out_tongue: It is fine to go a little over 1 page; I know lots of upperclassmen who already go to Penn and had application essays that were a little longer than one page.

One page single-spaced is fine
