The Dreaded 89.x

93 for A 99+ for 4.0 we used to have the 95+ for A as well, but everyone got super ****ed and they changed it

My school makes it so much easier, there is no choice as to whether the teachers round up or not, they have to because the grading scale in the handbook is:
[89.5 - 100] - A
[79.5 - 89.5) - B
They're broken down with plusses and minuses, but you get the gist of it.

never happened to me... yet, but this girl had a 89.45 or something(it rounds up one point if it's .5 and over). Now that really sucks.

This year I got an 89.51 in religion which rounds up to an A- and last year I got a 79.56 in H World History :D

Last week, I failed my math test. I told myself it wasn't a big deal, that I'd just study hard for the final to make up for it. Well, my math teacher decided to give us 2 finals, the first one being incredibly hard, and the second one being the district test, which is really easy. So, I studied my ass off for the hard final, and then I did pretty damn badly. So now, my grade basically depends on that test I mentioned first that I'm pretty sure I failed. I'm almost certain I failed it, but if by some miracle, I did not fail it, I may have a shot at an A. If not, I will have 89.4, which won't get rounded up. Dammit. Whatever. Life rolls on. :</p>

Ok so for us 92.5 is an A, 92.4 is a B. Last year I got an 89.6 in APWH first semester which rounded up to a 90. I got a 94.5 second semester which rounded up to a 95. So my year average was a 92.5 (A) even though it shouldn't have been :D

AHHHHHHHHH, I finished with an 86.44 in Enriched Bio and my teacher wont give me another whopping 1 POINT to get to a B+. Wow that ****es me off.

In spanish I have a 92.7 because I did horrible on my quarterly even though I studied for hours. :( I need a 94 for an A. This is my first B+ in a class other than math ever.

I had an 89 in Math this semester a month before exams. I struggled and struggled but it never went up. on the last week before exams, it went up to a 92! I almost said "***!" to my teacher. now let's see how much my exam took it down :s

I have a ing 86.98 and 87 is a B+, and my *ing teacher won't round up. What a ****

For my first three years, a 93 was a B+. I think after they made 90-93 they should've changed it on our transcripts but they didn't. Colleges won't know if I got a 92, they'll see B+ and assume 85-89.

88.6 in social studies.

EVERY single B I have gotten in high school has been like that. I'm cursed.

I have an 89.36 in Honors Physics. A 90=an A at my school. :|

There's nothing worse than people who whine that a teacher won't round up their grade. The line needs to be drawn somewhere, and wherever it is there will be people that got .2 below it who can't shut up about it. Stop blaming the teacher for your own shortcoming.

I also don't like people who complain that a 92.45 should round up to a 92.5 which rounds up to a 93 which is an A. Um hello, 92.45 rounds to 92. End of.

Our school is:

A - 100-93
B - 92-86
C - 85-78
D - 77-70
F - 69-below

All you need is a 93 to have a 4.0

Our school is

A: 100 - 95
B: 94-88
C: 87-81
D: 80-75
F: 74 and below

I have the dreaded 94 =(

^ Wow that is one harsh grading scale. A 74 is a C at my school.

OMFG and F is a 74 - ? why?
