the dreaded chances post

Hey guys

I'm not a big fan of the "chances" posts but these past few days have gotten me soooo nervous about that letter that could be coming any day now. I applied ED to Steinhardt for Speech Therapy.

Boss for Columbia internship- good rec saying how im hardworking and ambitious and all that jazz

Essay- Pretty good I think, I wrote about being Russian, it had a nice twist to it though.

Other
I'm fluent in Russian and a legacy (mom went to NYU). I took a non-credit intro to markets class at NYU in the summer

so yea guys tell me what you think. I appreciate it.

the dreaded "you get your response in 2-3 days" reply

either your in or GSP

I would say GSP is looking like a no since most if not all of them seem to have come out already

well stein is pretty easy. so yea you're probably in or in gsp

gsp or rejected.

i would say you're in..

only because i remember looking at all the ED posts on an LJ community last year and they were taking steinhardt kids for education and speech from like as low as 1200 sat's.

wow haha thanks alex, made me feel 100X better. Did you apply to CAS ED?

hahah oh no im right there wiht you in steinhardt.

i basically wanna major in wirting, which is damn near impossible anywhere, so it was a toss up between CAS and steinhardt for communications and i saw steinhardt seemed to be less harsh.. so here i am.

your stats and mine are pratically identical, definitely didn't mean to come off offensive hah

and i didn't mean to say you're in only cus they accept low people..

i meant it as why i said only "in" and not a chance of GSP or anything.

i never tell poeple i think they're "in", i'd feel too bad.

alex: I wasn't saying I felt better because you said you think I'm in, I was more reassured by the fact that you said stein kids had SAT's as low as 1200. im hoping my higher SATs will compensate for other things...

I do realize that a poster on CC can't really predict an "in" at any school :)

Thanks for your input
