The dreaded wait list

I checked myUCF today and I found out that I've been wait listed. Although I much would have rather been flat out accepted, this presents an opportunity to prove, through a letter and a couple of phone calls, how profound my interest in UCF is.

My question comes back to what exactly is the best course of action to take. After doing some research, I've come up with the idea that writing a heartfelt letter is the best way to go, touching on achievements I've earned within the time since my application, and also a few things I left out of the application.

But I am also seeking some input from others who have been in my shoes and/or knows the best way to handle this situation.

They are starting to clear the waitlist. I was on the waitlist for 2 months and found out today that I have been accepted for Fall! I did nothing as far as contacting them after hearing that I had been waitlisted…

Casey mind telling me what your stats are?

My GPA is 3.9w and ACT 25. Nothing special, but I have a few IB, AP and honors classes. My application status was updated first, then I got an email asking me to sign up for housing a couple of days later…still no official notification, but I’m in! Just keep checking your application status for an update and good luck!
