<p>For all of us who got rejected from Ivies, Stanford, etc., can we talk about all the reasons why Duke is better than those schools. Let's try not to get crazy and start viciously attacking each other, like in some other threads, please.
I'll start-</p>
<p>Duke's public policy major sounds very interesting, and no other top schools have the sports and enthusiasm of duke. and i would bet duke is the most work hard/play hard.</p>
<p>Cornell's site is down but it looks like I am going to be 0-5 for the Ivies.</p>
<p>Why is Duke better the rest?</p>
<p>For it is a lot warmer in NC than it is in New England. The people seem friendlier. Everyboy loves Duke.</p>

<p>Duke has awesome school spirit.. does Harvard have a basketball team that won the NCAA tournament twice?? I don't think so.. the bball games bring the whole school together.</p>
<p>People who go to Duke seem to love it for more reasons besides its prestige. </p>
<p>Duke has better parties than the Ivies (from what I hear..).</p>
<p>Can't forget the warm weather!</p>
<p>Also Duke is tops for pre-med and engineering!</p>

<p>I don't know but some months ago when I knew nothing about colleges in the US I discovered Duke and woa! I already knew I was applying!.</p>
