The dumbest reason you want to go to Georgetown....

Because Bill Clinton went there. And I love the old buildings, they remind me of Harry Potter. :)

my reason trumps all
I’m obsessed with my APUSH teacher and his wife went there, so…

mine’s pretty bad as well…
on the movie 17 Again everyone’s all like Maggie got into Georgetown  that was my initial attraction to the school due to how cool the characters thought it was and because everyone called me Maggie in like preschool. oh and I had the CUTEST old guy for my interviewer lol

& as for it being supposedly preppy, I’d fit right in!

I want to sit on John Carroll (the statue)'s lap!

*it’s one of their little traditions…but I really want to…it looks very comfortable.

is that i enjoy answering “yes” when people say to me “what’s a hoya” and consequently getting a confused look on their face as they have no idea what i’m saying, when in reality i’m agreeing with them because they’re on point.

HOYA SAXA = What rocks

(Friend asking) What’s a hoya?
(My response) Yes.

=]

Because it looks like Hogwarts, because it’s in DC and it’s been my dream for three years so I don’t want to sound like a flake and change my mind.

Pretty campus pictures on their slideshow presentation.

They came to town with Harvard, Stanford, Duke, and…Cornell maybe? Daughter never thought about them before but their presentation was very straightforward. The way they described the school within the Georgetown communitiy, within/near DC. The camps shots were beautiful…pulled back to show the water. So…basically…location. But it was BECAUSE of the pretty pictures.

R124687, it was UPenn, not Cornell. I went to the presentation for Georgetown and ended up apply to Duke and UPenn because of it. Still REALLY hoping for Georgetown though =/

Because there’s an American Eagle in close proximity to the campus.
Because this really hott kid I know is going to GW and I want to beat him in the Georgetown/GW snowball fight.

my tour guide was fiiiiine

Because of the pretty girls attending GU :D

1)there are actual seasons in DC
2)Obelisk and 2Amys (restaurants in the area)
3)looks like an American, modern day Hogwarts (know it’s been said, but it’s true)
4)GUGS
5)best mascot ever: the what (hoya in english, but you all know that. haha)

Tonkgirl13, Harry Potter reference in the name? Only asking because you mentioned Hogwarts too  <3

i stepped on the seal on my tour and i want to prove the story’s not true. that and i’d love to buy a collar for my dogs with jack on it.

I didn’t step on the seal either!

A girl in my tour group wasn’t listening and stepped on it. Her dad was like,“Oh my god now you’re definitely not going to get into Georgetown!”

She had like… the most hysterical, manic, defeated, crushed facial expression. It was the funniest thing. ( :

Also… umm. basketball? But I guess that’s not a dumb reason - its a pretty legit one.

my name is George…so it would be like my town

ocgirl92: when did you visit? I can’t remember if that was me on your tour or not… I remember almost stepping on the seal or something like that, and that’s something my dad would say.

@awkturtle, no worries… I stepped on the seal, and it worked out okay :)

I like the school colors :D

Haha @merii3: I visited during my spring break last year.

Late March/early April?
