The Early Decision Process

<p>As S waits for the letter sometime between Dec 15th and the 22nd, can anyone provide any insight/knowledge about what goes on in the ED 1 decision making? I'm going to assume that they have about 200 apps to review at this time, divided 50/50 male female.</p>

<p>For instance, do they make decisions before the date decisions are due? Does everyone review them before a "vote" is cast? Do coaches have any input? Hopefully it isn't like that brutal video from Amherst or Georgetown in which the hubris is too much.</p>

<p>If you are admitted, how would you celebrate? go out for dinner? buy some champagne? get a W&L tshirt or sweatshirt? baseball cap? what would you have liked to have done but didn't do?</p>

<p>My D didn't apply early. However once she made her decision, we went out to dinner as a family. If. she had KNOWN that this was where she wanted to attend without a doubt, we would have used the percent off coupon at the bookstore a bit more lavishly.</p>
