The "Easy GE" List

PSYCH 129E with Abramson. Easy???

I don't know but this course is in my schedule to fill my 180. Most psychology courses aren't difficult.

Dammit!!! i just found out I still need one more GE to fulfill Literary and Cultural Analysis requirement! :(

Does anyone know if SEASIAN 1 will ever be offered again? Any other suggestions?

I am considering taking History 8A next Fall since someone has said it was easy However, it is only offered in the Fall and I want something for Spring Quarter.

Someone help me!

Take it next fall.

If MacFayden teaches Russian 25, take it in Spring. He's really awesome. Loved that class. <3

From what I've read on Bruinwalk, MacFayden only assigns two papers and no exams. Is that correct? I'm just afraid 'cause I'm not a good writer. :(

Thanks mme-lin! :)

Correct.

It's do or die! His classes are sooo chill and he's pretty funny. As for grading, I was kinda neurotic about things and did extensive research + extra work for the papers... and completed both papers the night before they were due. I had some nuances but my ideas were fine and well, I ended up with an A-. Take that Dostoyevsky, *****!

Umm...I think I'll pass on it then.

How is German 59? It sounds very interesting.

Antrho 7 covers which GE Requirement?

Click on the course title from the registrar and it should tell you.

Ok thank you! I was also wondering what is easier, Antrho 7 with Manson, or ast 3 , or A&O 2/3 ? Thank you

A&O for the win! [friends rec.]

I'm trying to get rid of my last science Ge in the winter qtr. I'm currently considering...

Astro 3,
Astro 5,
A&O 2/3
Oceanography (heard it's just memorization)

Which one would you guys recommend for a non-science person?
(I'm currently in Ge70a, which is about the Evolution of the universe and life)

I hated A&O2, but it was an easy class...

Any thoughts on Linguistics 1 with Prof. Schuh?

V4run,
i took anthro 7 w/manson, i NEVER set foot in the lecture hall (as it was online lol), and i kept up on the online lectures/readings (by kept up i mean... well... watched before midterms/final?)
...and got an A

NOT that i'm recommending that course of study, but, yes the material is that easy/straightforward and yes the curve is highly beneficial. however the material is extremely dry (think life science for primates) and if it wasn't a psych pre-req i would never have taken it. also manson seemed to be a boring lecturer. maybe he's better in person; i wouldn't know xD

that being said, if you can tolerate learning classes of primates and identifying humanoid fossils... you're fine :)

haha I hope it will be as easy as you make it sound liyana! Only thign is, it covers life science GE and I am thinking of doing pre med, so I proabably shouldn't take it huh? Would you recommend any other easy GE's in other categories?

Don't take it if you're pre-med. Go to UCLA Career Center and look up pre-health and find out what you need to do!

physics 10 was a really easy physical science GE. no lab though.

i dunno about Schuh, but i'm taking Ling 1 with Lee, and it's been pretty easy. hardest topic up to the midterm was phonetics, but it's not that hard. median was 35/40.

I would like to be able to take Math 32B and Physics 1B this quarter. But after getting through this quarter I am sure I will only be able to handle that if I can take an easy GE for the third class. Being a pre-med student that limits many of my possibilities. Can anyone recommend an easy GE for me?
