<p>i think flong is kinda right, when there are a lot of undeclared, they gotta start cutting people, so it starts to become competitive.</p>
<p>hahah oh well...i think overall unless your really unsure of what you want to major in, applying to the major of your choice is the best way to go.</p>

<p>what you really are applying to is pre-poli sci. </p>
<p>after you are accepted to UCLA and finish your pre-reqs for the poli sci major in a year or two or three, THEN you apply to the actual poli sci major. this is where the "impact" applies, NOT when you apply as a high school senior.</p>
<p>this is how most majors work in the CofL&S also. </p>
<p>so the point is.... major isn't consider for first year applicants in CofL&S</p>
