The effective method of preparation?

What is the most effective method of prep from the Blue Book?

I'm thinkin' of using the blue book (10), the PSATs from the College Board Site (5), and the 10 REAL SATs book (10).

How would you suggest going about this? Doing them in sections, or doing whole practice tests?

I know the checking answers, but which method did you guys use and did they work?

for the first couple of tests in the blue book (i’d say about three) i would just work section by section, checking my answers after every section. this helped me understand the test’s format.

after that, i would time myself and do entire tests w/o checking my answers. this created a “testing environment”.

so, both methods should be coupled :D

Why don’t you read the stickies, Bassir?

Bilguun, I did, but I’m curious as to what actually works for some people.

I read the programs people proposed in the Xiggi method.

I have heard that the 10 Real SATs is not a good book to use for prep on the new SAT. Aren’t the reading passages on the critical reading different?

Xiggi says otherwise.

He says other than the analogies, it’s all still gold in terms of prep material.
