The enclave off campus housing

Anybody ever live in the Enclave offcampus? Is it good?

My daughter lived there 2 years ago and it was a very nice complex and economical in my opinion. It’s a bit far from campus & transportation is non-existent on weekends. She prefers to NOT have a car at school, so she ended up moving closer to campus last year.

Did she ever have issues with maintainance or the people who work there or the lease? Did she feel safe? Yeah I don’t want to park on campus.

Not that I can remember. She felt safe and enjoyed the place. Had a bus stop to campus right by her apt. and that worked very well during the week. Weekends were the problem, but if you have a car you’ll be in good shape.

Okay thank you for your help!

Was there any signing/ admin fees you had to pay when you signed your lease? Is there parking fee?

It isn’t that far from campus at all, especially compared to other complexes. I’m going to be living there in the Fall and it seemed like the best choice. It’s very clean and new, close to campus, and student-friendly. I’m renting a bedroom in a 3/3 apartment and it’s gonna be like $569 a month which seems pricey but it’s including absolutely everything, so it’s really not - especially when you think about how nice the place is. Most apartments in Gainesville are about that expensive and not very nice at all. But really it’s about 2 minutes’ drive from campus and there’s a bus that comes right into the complex. I don’t know about the weekend thing but I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’d still have a car though, because my first year I didn’t bring mine and it was AWFUL. I don’t think it’s worth it to have a parking decal for school though because you’d still have to park in the commuter lot, which is far away from central campus. But I’d bring a car to get around town and stuff. Also, there is no parking fee for the Enclave, I think. And there is a signing fee and deposit (or co-signer form) due within 10 days of signing the lease.
Wow I rambled on forever but hope it helps!

Thank you! I signed my lease there and since there is no parking fee, I’m bringing my car just in case.
