Centre is in the middle of nowhere

Centre is in the Middle of Kentucky, not that far from Lexington and in easy drive of Lousiville and Cincinnnati.

Besides that it is an excellent school that merits comparison with the best LAC's.

The nice thing about Centre and where it's located is that Danville is livable. You can walk just about anywhere. There are restaurants, and the all important WalMart. It's not too far from Lexington and only about 90 minutes from Louisville. We come from a small town in Tennessee and this seemed too small for my daughter too--at first. Now, 4 years later, she's come to enjoy "small town living". The faculty all live close by, they've invited the students for dinner, her senior classes are small (under 20 students always and even some that are around 12). She's gotten amazing hands-on experience and personal guidance from faculty and staff. Don't knock the small town/small school concept. It's definitely NOT for everybody. Centre was recommended to us by an alumnus. "Just go visit" she said. We had nothing to lose. It has been amazing.
