The end of AA

I just wanted to hear some opinions on the possible end of affirmative action, specifically in college admission.

Here is the article if you haven't already heard:
<a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/22/us/justices-to-hear-case-on-affirmative-action-in-higher-education.html?_r=1%5B/url%5D">http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/22/us/justices-to-hear-case-on-affirmative-action-in-higher-education.html?_r=1</a></p>

Even if it does end, I still think preferences towards under represented minority students will remain virtually the same. Colleges and employers will continue to foster ideas of racial and ethnic diversity.
IMO

^Unfortunately studies show that is not the case. Like with UCs. The numbers begin to decline slowly. I am a big proponent of AA and hope the law isn’t repealed.

Like Madame Justice Sandra O’Connor said in her famous ruling, to paraphrase: ‘Affirmation Action must end some day, I don’t know when but today is not that day.’

Wow I thought it wasn’t a factor because of prop 209 but maybe that’s just california…
