So I did a quick search to find out what people think is the best book for the SAT II Chemistry. Although there were not many responses available and most people used different books, I found that most people who used Sparknotes, Barron's, or PR scored between 750 and 800.

So is the general consensus that if you use any of the above books and work hard, you can get pretty much the same score? Or does anyone have something against any of them?

I used PR and got an 800, but that doesn't mean the book is better than say Barron's or Kaplan. I think all books are inherently the same and its just how you use them that differentiates between the scores.

But personally, I generally like PR cause they make things simpler to understand.

I used PR, got an 800, and think PR is good for a brief review and it's questions were right on. Kaplan's tests were also good from what I recall. If you haven't taken AP and try to take the chem test, you should probably get Barrons.

Actually, I think I'll just borrow my friend's Kaplan book. Then I'll have PR AP, Barron's, Kaplan, and Sparknotes online. That should be good enough :P.
