<p>Donald Cole & Robert Cornell, eds. Respecting the Pupil: Essays on Teaching Able Students (Exeter, NH: Phillips Exeter Academy Press, 3rd ed. 1987) (ISBN 0-939618-01-X)</p>
<p>which I just got by interlibrary loan today? The book lays out, subject by subject, Exeter's philosophy of education as it existed in the 1980s. I've only just started reading it, but on quick perusal it looks it has a lot of interesting information about what makes Exeter the kind of school it is.</p>
