Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone on here is familiar with the film studies department at Yale (PhD)? I really would like to pursue a career as a film studies professor or possibly work in the film industry, and I was wondering if the department at Yale is suited for me? I'm particularly interested in THEORY/CRITICISM, not the production aspect of film. I would like to mainly concentrate on the aesthetics of American cinema and European/Spanish cinema.

I know this is not the best way to go about this situation over the internet, but I was just hoping to hear some people who attend Yale and know of the film studies department. By the way, I'm still an undergraduate student attending a "public ivy" and majoring in Rhetoric and Composition with two minors. I'm not too nervous about building my CV because I already have a lot of relevant activities/experience under my belt.

Any input on the program at Yale? I already know of NYU and USC, but I was wondering if there are some other great film theory/criticism programs out there? Thanks so much.
