<p>Don’t panic when you get to the mail box and see a THIN letter…</p>
<p>Early Action and Early Decision at CMU do NOT GET THE FAT PACKET until later in March with the RD pool…right now you get a lovely welcome letter from the Director of Admissions (it’s a really nice letter!)-- and a sheet to return your deposit.</p>
<p>The FAT letter is a huge brochure with information on the spring sessions, etc…it’s probably not even to the printer yet…</p>
<p>SO DON"T PANIC-- the letter is thin…and depending upon where you live, you may actually see the “where am I am the process” first-- that goes live 5 days after decisions are mailed.</p>
<p>P.S. The Early Action class (those who attended summer pre college) already set up the 2014 FB groups…</p>

<p>It will be online on Dec 15 but you could possibly receive it in the mail as early as Dec 12</p>
<p>I feel like I’ll get to see the decision online first since the letter letting me knowing the ED1 deadline got here when I already applied to ED1 xD but yeah, I’ve been really nervous for more than a week… I don’t think I really want to go or am ready to apply to anywhere else!</p>

<p>From what I’ve heard from the Admissions office, they mail letters around the 10th or 11th and then on the 15th the online decisions are posted.</p>
<p>I am completely freaking out! My birthday is December 10th, hopefully CMU can make it a good one haha</p>

<p>Well, I got my ED letter in today’s mail! Chances are they were mailed yesterday, as I’m in the Pittsburgh suburbs it’d only take one day to get here. Regardless, they’re out.</p>
<p>I was actually really confused when I got it, as it’s just a regular envelope. Nothing mentions specific colleges, financial aid, anything. Then I saw this thread and was relieved.</p>
