<p>So this is it. I've come up with my final list. As such, as a means of double-checking, I'm posting this. I'm pretty fickle when it comes to thinking whether or not I have a chance at a school - that's where you come in. These are the schools I'm applying to, in no particular order:</p>

<p>University of Chicago
George Washington University
University of Pittsburgh
Rice University
Stanford University
Washington University in St. Louis</p>

<p>A Very Short Autobiography:
State: MD
Income: <$25,000
Race: African American</p>

<p>Statistically Speaking...
GPA: 3.84 UW, maximum of 3.88
SAT: 1470 / 2250 - 720M, 750CR, 780W
SAT Subject Tests: Lit 670, Math II 700, US History 730
Rigor: 7 APs, 10 honors (AP Euro 4, AP Envi Sci 4, APUSH 5, AP Lit 5, AP Stats, AP Bio, AP Micro + Micro Econ)</p>

<p>That Stuff After School
- 25 hours/week cashier [10, 11, 12]
- 10 hours/week community president [11, 12]
- 5 hours/week community association member [9, 10]
- Freshman Speaker of the Council (highest position, appointed) [9]
- Sophomore Executive Board President (highest position, elected) [10]
- Student Government Association Member [9, 10]</p>

<p>A Really Short List of Awards
- National Achievement Semifinalist (hopefully finalist)
- AP Scholar with Honor
- Employee of the Quarter Third Quarter 2008 [hey, that's a big EC for me]</p>

<p>Other Things to Consider:
- I pay my own way through an online high school because my old high school, the public one where I spent my sophomore and junior years, sucked.
- My recs might be form letters. I have online teachers after all. I have at least one that I connected with; I'm trying to make that as good as possible.
- I need tons of financial aid, but 4/6 schools on my list are 100% need, no loans schools.</p>

<p>If your essays are strong, you’re in (especially Chicago). At least in my opinion. :slight_smile: Good luck.</p>

<p>You have fantastic chances at most of your schools because of your URM and low income status. You have good class rigor/gpa/sat scores, so you meet all the criteria. You may want to work on your EC’s a little bit, however. That being said, why don’t you apply to HYP as well since you have a more than average chance at almost every school in the nation! good luck.</p>

<p>HYP aren’t good fits for me, plus they’re reaches and I’m limiting my reaches for the sake of my other applications.</p>
