The Final List

More to bide time than anything (and there is so much time...), I'm posting this. Everything is final, including the college list. I just want to know what life might look like come next March. I have almost everything for my RD and EA applications submitted, with the exception of FAFSA and the Mid Year Report (obviously not yet available), two mailed copies of our tax forms, one non-custodial parent information waiver, a few scholarship applications, and four supplements (10ish essays).

All About Applicannot

Essays: can't say, contact at QB said they were excellent compared to what she had read
Teacher Recommendations: kind of impersonal because I go to a distance learning school... positive certainly, but nothing stellar or above average
Counselor Recommendation: should actually be pretty good, we have a good relationship despite being distance learning

The College List
Ranked roughly by desire to attend. However, out of 10, my happiness at the last school would still be a 7.5 or higher. But since I need a ton of financial aid, obviously money is a factor.

Washington University in St. Louis

Stanford University (QuestBridge / Dec. 1st notification)

Rice University

Yale University (QuestBridge / Dec. 1st notification)

University of Chicago

George Washington University

University of Pittsburgh Honors College

Boston University Honors College (this is new)

What do you think? Some days I feel confident, others I feel very small (hence why another safety got stuck on the end of my list). My SAT Subject Tests really suck, but otherwise I feel pretty good. What do you guys think? If you had to guess, where would I be in and where wouldn't I be?

I hope to see you in either Stanford or Yale because you are definitely worth going in.

I think that your statistics are exceptional. Your current situation will work in your benefit. You don’t need that safety, you’ll get into several schools, no worries. The only negatives I see are your lit score and your lack of major awards. Other than that though, I’d say you are competitive. Due to the fact that you asked for predictions, this is what I think:

Washington University in St. Louis-I’m not familiar with this one so I’ll say match/high match

Stanford University (QuestBridge / Dec. 1st notification)-reach(completely unpredictable)

Rice University-high match

Yale University (QuestBridge / Dec. 1st notification)-reach(completely unpredictable)

University of Chicago-It depends on your essays. I’ll say high match/low reach

George Washington University-In

University of Pittsburgh Honors College-In

Boston University Honors College (this is new)-In!(not needed)

Best of luck!:)
