We already have an A-Z list of things to bring to college here on CC, but what are some often forgotten objects that could greatly improve the life of a college student (things that could not be easily accessed at an average convenience store).
There are actually other threads like this elsewhere on CC, so you can do a search.
I will say that my daughter scoffed at me insisting she have a collapsible clothes drying rack, and now both she and her roommate use it all the time. Means you don’t have to wait around for the dryer, or can hang some hand washing to dry easily. Ziploc bags have been useful too.
Not something I forgot but something you might not think to bring: an electric water kettle. My dad bought one for me sophomore year and it made it so easy to quickly make hot tea at home, especially in a dorm without any other super convenient means of heating water. Even now in an apartment I use it all the time to make tea or hot apple cider in only a minute.
@Ranza123 , my D uses her kettle every single day. She is a tea drinker. We got a great one, the Bona Vita dual voltage .5 liter 700 watt. It had really good reviews, very happy so far.
@bopper Haha, yes. The internet is wonderful. However, for a extremely money conscious person like me, I like to look for things when they are cheap and prior to when I will actually really need to use them.
Tea bore here, but I hate tea from a Keurig. It will always taste slightly of coffee and it is literally impossible for it to be properly brewed. Boiling water for tea, every time.
