Including or plus the athletic recruits?

I'm just wondering how they affect the admissons numbers, and how many there are.

I thought I remembered hearing somewhere that we had 1,049 students. If this is the case, I would assume that’s without athletic recruits?

It will definitely affect admissions numbers since the yield was so unexpectedly high. Rice’s acceptance rate will have to drop for them to keep the number of students at a desired level; this is both good and bad. haha

Any numbers you hear will include athletic recruits, as they are part of the class. This fall, 998 freshman and 56 transfers (1054 total) matriculated. The target class size for Fall 2012 matriculation is 935 freshman and 35 transfers.

Ahh yeah the transfers, so my number was the size of the incoming student body, rather than the freshman class. That makes total sense now.
