The Ginseng League

keylyme, you are totally biased though. If I’m correct, your son goes to NMH, right? Well, wouldn’t any parent say the same thing about their child’s school?

Honestly, not so sound cliche, but it really doesn’t matter a ton, all of this tier crap.

I second that.

There is no doubt that NMH is good, but not as good as the first tier school

I am biased in that I do like the school. However, one of the reasons we allowed our sons to attend, instead of Exeter (which we also considered, particularly for my younger son), was because we truly felt, based on conversations with other educators, parents, and students affiliated with these schools that the quality of education and academic rigor was equal, but we (and they) preferred the atmosphere at NMH. That is not my bias…that is based on what we were told by people with firsthand knowledge of the schools. My older son would often come home on w/e’s and spend time with his best friend who attended Andover. They compared notes on classes and did hw together. Equitable. NMH is considered lower tier because it is less selective…it is less selective because it gets fewer apps…which as I noted previously creates a sort of “vicious cycle”. It doesn’t get the prestige of being able to tout high percentages of Ivy admits, but it still delivers the same goods to the students.

“Ginseng League” sounds like school most dominated by Asians.

LOL toadstool.
