The Golden Scholar Application

From the Colorado School of Mines

No essay/personal statement (even Drexel's VIP application requires a small essay) or counseler recommendation? All I need to send is a 2 page small packet of info like my address and stuff, transcript, and SAT scores, and they give me my decision in 21 days with scholarships and priority housing. Sounds pretty cool! Considering it's public rolling it doesn't seem to interfere with any SCEA applications - can others confirm, or if anyone else has recieved this?

Yale:

Early Action FAQ | Application to Yale College | Freshmen | Office of Undergraduate Admissions

"you may apply to a public university's "rolling" admission program if the program is non-binding (meaning that you have until May 1 to respond)"

Stanford:

Restrictive Early Action : Stanford University

"Restrictive Early Action applicants may apply to: Any institution, public or private, under a non-binding Rolling Admission option."

So, is Colorado a rolling school? They seem to be, considering they give a 21 day decision. I emailed them to be 100% sure but it seems like 99% I can apply.

yes -- colorado school of mines is a rolling admissions school.

yay! the app is so easy - just a transcript and sat scores along w/ the 5 second app

haha, the school made it easier so it can increase the applicant pool?

^ I Guess, but I emailed them too and they said when they have a tie between two applicants, one who has the app I sent in and the other who just applied normally, they choose the special app person

Not like im going to go there anyway, so I'm not sure I'm going to foward my transcript/scores
