The GPA used is the GPA of the CC or of the courses that only transfer to the UC?

Hi,
I had been wondering if the GPA calculated by the UC’s when transferring is calculated based on all the classes taken at the CC or just the UC transferable one’s? Because I know that if you exceed the amount of credits needed (60 semester units /90 quarter units) the classes that are unnecessary or not transferable won’t be counted. Does this therefore result in a change of GPA? I have a few prerequisite classes that are not transferable and I was hoping to see what the result would be and my chances.

You have it part right and part wrong. Only UC-transferable courses are counted but all those courses will be calculated into the GPA. So if you have 90 semester UC-transferable units, all those will be calculated and you will get subject credit for them all, but only 70 semester units will be transferred as you aim for the graduating number of 120 units.
