Does anybody like to comment on this movie? Here's what I thought

Good thing: Scary. It freaks you out every 5 minutes.

Bad things (that's right, plural): The plot is really crappy. The Ring had much better plot than this film. Also it's pretty much a repeat of samething over and over (someone gets lost, another one gets lost, and another, and another....).

I agree that it wasn't all that good. The Ring was definitely much better and much more scarier because of the better plot. I felt like there wasn't much of a plot and it was more about scaring the audience w/ creepy scenes.

But if anyone is in for a good creepy movie, I recommend you see Saw instead.

I liked that it scared me every few seconds, but I'm still really confoozled with the plot. That plot really really really sucked! But the whole "under the covers" thing still freaks me out.

The thing I can't understand: Why that couple's relative got ass-kicked by those ghosts? She was in her office first time, and then her apartment, and how come those ghosts came to "serve" her? Can anyone answer this?

It's a stupid movie made to make quick money from teenage girls and their boyfriends who probably have no taste in movies. Loud sudden noises, like in the grudge, don't make a movie scary. I can "scare" people who thought 'the grudge' was scary by putting them in a room, play intense horror music, let it intensify and then startle them with a quick jolt of 80+ decibles.

Although, I have been watching scary movies since I was 5, I just think 'The Grudge' is not really a scary movie. I don't think there has been a true scary movie out since the classics.

First off the ghost took out the sister because she had been at the house and the ghost killed everyone who had been in cotact with the house. -She wasn't stupid enough to return liek the cop so it had to go a little farther to kill her.

I thought the grudge was good and I like how they didn't try to americanize a japanese story too much. They added an american actress but left it in japan and used the same actors for the ghosts as the origional.

Side note: I did not find the ring scariest in the least, it was thouroughly disapointing.

I agree with gidget...the ring wasn't scary at all...infact, i can't remember seeing a scary movie in my whole life-

...well actually, when i was 5 i saw Beetle juice and that scared the crap out of me, but then i saw it again when i was 8 and ended up laughing throughout the whole thing.

but back to the grudge- it was ok, not scary, and the plot sucked

so did this movie, but this movie was just retarded. nothing changed from the start to end, except a lot of people died. it just...never...whatever.

so the moral is: Don't fall in love with your professor.

I love the Grudge more than the Ring. The Grudge didn't have much of a plot and the ending sucked, but I love Sarah Michelle Gellar (fave actress of all time).

I somewhat liked the plot of the Ring, but I didn't find it scary (except for the first time when she popped out of the TV). I wanted a thrill, so I watched it the first time by myself, in the middle of the night, in my room.

It wasn't as thrilling in that it didn't leave me paranoid at all. The Grudge was the opposite. I have a cousin who looks a lot like Toshio (sp?) and his arrivals are always unexpected.
