The Hardest Interview Question

for people who have had a medical school or program interview, what do you think was the hardest question?

What do you think of the weather?

Well, dear, I'm freezing my bottom off, and I want to go back to my sunny Southern arena, but you know what...even thought it looks absolutely horrid out...lol

tell me about yourself

ohh i agree w/ you cirohpue. my first interview started off with that question and i just blanked for about ten seconds. i was thinking...should i start w/ my name? my interests? where i came from? ahh...it was not good. but i also think that is the easiest question to prepare (and one that i definitely should have thought of.)

"why should i pick you over the girl that i interviewed before you, or the applicant i'm interviewing after you? What will you give back to the program that they can't?"

Brooklyn BA/MD

My interesting question (Interviewer was a recent grad and was pretty good looking herself)...
Question: You're a good looking guy. How will you concentrate on your studies with all those girls after you? Come on, your looks and becoming a doctor - watch out...
Answer: I'll try my best. I've survived high school (random laughter...)

hydrogen - haha. that's great.

as for me:

You and 5 of your peers are on an ethics committee to decide the fate as a whole of a man who was in a serious accident. There are many complications, and there is a full scenario you must read. Discuss amongst yourselves and decide whether the man lives or dies. We will ask you questions to progress the discussion.

Temple University interview 1

why seven years instead of eight?

Question: If you were a superhero who would you be and who would you save?
Answer: Yea...

Question: what will your peers find surprising about you that they dont already know?
Answer: (in my mind) crap how the hell should i know

did a lot of you guys have case study questions? (like the one posted by Evilbooyaa) i thought they only ask those for med school students b/c we haven't studies anything regarding the consequences of having multiple diseases yet.

from my experience (1 interview), the temple interview is not the norm. Most interviews are not as intense and just ask basic questions.

lol yea temple was interesting

'why do you want to be a doctor' and then after my answer 'why not another medical profession like a nurse'

whats the most difficult adversity you ever faced?...I havent really had any hardships throughout high school

what would stop you from going to med school and becoming a doctor?

...death?
paralysis...

the end of the world?

getting weeded out by organic chemistry class?

hahaha....that would be the practical answerXD

organic chemistry = end of the world..
so yes :)
