Hmmmmmmm very nice =).

What was the FB total last year on 4/30/09?

Not sure. All I know was that on the 8th it was 1210.

1210? That still is not bad at all. The good news is that at least the Harvard adcom is even looking at the waitlist. That is reason to keep hope alive in itself =).

simplywaiting, how did your D find out who her regional rep was? you may have told us before, but I forget.

She googled it I think. She told me she found it on the internet.

The internet is soooo handy nowadays. Is anyone else sorta relieved that tomorrow is May 1st? I personally do not know how I even could’ve waited this long without exploding lol jk jk

it’s been hard for me, because my daughter has a full ride to a top university but doesn’t want to commit there. I told NYU was way to expensive and she would owe $80,000 loan but she wants to go there.

I agree, Morgan. This place is a great way to kill time and speculate and basically just hold hands.

BTW, I found this thread (posted in the Harvard 2014 forum, so I missed it before) when I googled “Harvard Regional Representative”–

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-2014/915329-official-harvard-waitlist-thread-tips-those-accepted-last-year.html

@simplywaiting…Eighty-thousand? Whoa…Well like my mom always says, “Hang in there.” There’s always light at the end of the tunnel ;-). I used to be an extremely impatient person but it’s not too bad if you occupy yourself in the meantime with other things.

@HurtLocker: Yeah it is definitely a relief when I find people like you, Cicero, simplywaiting, Gunther, and others who are enduring the same process. And yes, I saw that thread! Very insightful. Virtually holds hands and sways back and forth. I found out that listening to Bob Dylan and Michael Jackson or reading John Keats helps me forget all about the anxiety :-).

I’m also on the waitlist, but I’m going to try to come on here as few times as possible, in order to keep my sanity, and pass some AP tests.

Sounds almost exactly like the email I got after I sent an email along similar lines. Let’s be optimistic and assume that it’s a positive sign in both cases.

Welcome Redline and Jen! Where are you guys from? And what are your (or your kid’s) interests?

Redline, how did you get your regional rep email address? My D can’t find hers, and we’ve been told to simply send correspondence to the fileroom email or snail mail to the admissions address.

If anyone knows the So. Cal regional representative could you please pm me? We’re in Los Angeles county.

Updating the list to include the newbies. We’re up to 32…woot! :)

Hi Piggle, thanks. We found that link using google, but it appears to be old (from 2002). You can see the year in the url. Does anyone know if these names are current?

Well, today should have been a fun day, I mean signing for where you are going to school. But my daughter doesn’t want to go to her back up school and told me to just sign the papers, she didn’t care. I really hope Harvard comes through for her!
