We should probably …

alphabetize the list …
include location (state/country if international)

A friend who works in Ivy admissions gave this advice:

Write one letter immediately. Express how thrilled you are to be on the WL. Don’t whine or complain about not being accepted. Be happy and honored. List any new accomplishments but be brief. The admissions people are sick of reading by now. Then in May, send another letter. Be sure to say that if you get accepted off the WL that you will indeed attend. They need to hear that you are serious and that you will indeed leave the school you decided to attend.

Two letters. That’s it. IDK if that’s true. Other people probably have other strategies, but that’s what I heard and wanted to pass it on. Good luck to you all.

According to threads past, responses start in early May and end in July, depending on how many they accept off the WL. Ugh.

I think we should each add taglines (like singer, skater, well-rounded, etc); it’ll be cool to see which “filler” types Harvard needs.

In the meantime, I’m getting to love Dartmouth!

Good article today in the NT Times Ed blog:

[You’re on the Waiting List. Now What? - The Choice Blog - NYTimes.com](You're on the Waiting List. Now What? - The New York Times)

DMOC, I was mistaken. Most people are saying the process is mostly done by mid-June. And Harvard is mostly done before anyone else because everyone else trickles down from the shuffling in the ivies. At least, that’s what I’ve heard. I’m no expert! :)

I was one of the students who did not receive an email so I called the admissions office and found out that I was waitlisted.

For those of you who were waitlisted and did receive an email: Was there a link in the email that allowed you to accept your spot on the waitlist?

Since I never received my email, I am wondering how to let Harvard know that I would like to accept my spot on the wait-list.

The link is:

Good luck!
