The Harvard Waitlist Waiting Room 2014 Thread

I call the 500th post! Good job guys!

wow Gunther… stealing the 500th… smoothly done.

I’m signing off

I am going to turn in as well. Good night all and I win for 500th post.

qizixite: You’re not the first person to recommend it to me, but I haven’t. For some reason I can never seem to make time for short stories.

If you’re going to read Proust, you have to throw yourself into it. Don’t be afraid to find that the person who started reading the work no longer exists by the time you’re done; embrace it. Find the parts that speak to you and love them, for you may never see them again even if you reread the work.

And yes, that line is fine.

hey guys i’m with you. i follow the thread from germany
if i don’t make it off the list i’ll be going to oxford (UK)

yawn … good morning everyone …
For those taking the Calc exams today, good luck and don’t worry. If you studied, the exam is a slam dunk (took it last year) … I did stats yesterday, it was fun. My big day is Monday (Bio and Physics C) which is great since I have the weekend to prepare …

qizixite: Great job … I think we should make it official and declare you “Keeper of the List” (esp since the only way to preserve the formatting is to quote the thing … )

Found out my GC called the Admit office on my behalf … he’s a really nice guy … can’t wait for school to end (last day 5/14) so I can spend more time with my music … going back to sleep …

I second deigning qizixite as Sir Keeper of the List (or Lady?). It’s too difficult to re-bold and all that.

Good luck to everyone on their APs today!

D is still on the list. Got an irresistible ($) offer from NYU and will be going there if… You know the rest.

Good luck on the AP exams everybody!

@plumazul, I finished school 4/30 but still have to go in for my APs. Lit on Thursday and Bio on Monday then I am done with standardized testing for a long time hopefully.

Soooooo glad Calculus is over :D!

Agreed, MorganSimone. I really feel good about how the BC test went, and if I get a 5, I fulfill the calc requirement at Wharton.

I feel lonely that I didn’t take an AP Calc exam today.

Yeah…I have another one tomorrow but I’m less stressed about it ^_^. And @gunther…aww don’t feel lonely. My brain feels like mush right now! lol

Hey guys this is harvardwaitlist (obviously)
international asian male , insterested in science and engineering

confirmed witlist spot

I speculated that on average students applied to more colleges this year than yers before, so i hope yield would drop…

@harvardwaitlist, where did you matriculate in the meantime?
@MorganSimone, I am not stressed about Lit tomorrow unless there’s more poetry than usual, but Bio is a pain and studying for it is so difficult because at this point it’s utterly boring.

@gunther: Yes that’s why I’m like “ahhhhhhh sweet”. And biology?? I felt a chill all the way over here lol Has Harvard posted anything yet on The Crimson?

Nothing on the Crimson. I expect something on Friday or Monday. Yes Bio. I am not a math/science person but I took the course and can probably get the 4 I need for credit at Wash U, so whatever.

Welcome, HarvardWaitlist! What school have you committed to in the meantime?

I agree about the yield speculation. Only a few more days until we find out…

hey guys, I’m guitarplayer6516 and I chose to stay on the waitlist, so put me on your list haha. I sent my deposit to Emory for the time being…

oh wait i’m already on it haha didnt notice

The yield is going to be very high I suspect!
