<p>Sorry if already posted, but I thought some of you might not know. The author of the New York Times #1 bestselling book ‘The Help’, Katheryn Stockett, is a UA alum. There is going to be a movie based on the book that will be coming out sometime soon. I think we are starting to challenge Ole Miss when it comes to popular authors. ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’, ‘Forrest Gump’, ‘The Help’ and many others.</p>

<p>I just finished reading that about 2 weeks ago and noted to D2 that the author was a UA grad (trying to subtlety slip in all those factoids about UA’s English dept!)</p>

<p>Just read this book. It was wonderful. At the end of the book the author details her earlier life in Mississippi and yes- she is a UA alumna.</p>
