<p>Guys I just went to this nice little UChicago alumni, parents and friends get-together with the Prez of UChicago at the Taj. It was pretty cool, met a lot of interesting people there :). [sorry, I couldnt help showing off]</p>

<p>Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS COLLEGEBECKONS AND DESPERADO!!! I am so very happy for you, you completely deserved it and this just proves how unpredictable college admissions are! Especially you desperado, after the Wellesley fiasco, this exemplifies how you must never lose hope! Good job you two! 
Second, good luck to all the Berkeley applicants! Fingers crossed for all.
Third, I slept through the match. I will change my status anyway because I have the conscience of 1 billion people weighing on me. I’m reading the report right now and gosh, what an amazing game.</p>

SAT 2- 800 (Math 2) 800 (Physics) 760 (Chemistry)
ECs- Head Girl, school magazine senior editor, school website senior editor, national level TT sportsperson, Best Player of the Year award, Merit Certificate from the school, Sports Authority of India Scholar, executive member of the Debate Society, semi professional dancer… and, you know, small time music competitions…</p>
<p>The essays were pretty good (according to my reviewers!)… the recommendations were fantastic…</p>

<p>@mystic - There’s nothing spectactular in applying to a number of colleges and then politely being rejected by them, which I suspect is what might be happening soon. :-/</p>
