But congratulations to all who did, Berkeley is fantastic :D

Rejected @ Harvey Mudd. Don’t think I would have fit in there anyways, I’m a ladies man
Did anyone here get into Harvey Mudd?

Hey Desperado and Collegebeckons! Bravo! Thats phenomenal! And you both totally deserve it Enjoy as the feeling slowly sinks in :)

Rejected @ HMC

So i Just found out Berkley did not receive my 2290 before the 20th of January,my decision was probably based on my previous 2150.Boy am I ****ed :-|

Anyones CMU page says anything about their letter being dispatched?
And that’s $99 of acceptance

The dream run had to end somewhere, right?
Got rejected by Berkeley. I thought I’d get in though. Well, whatever. Tata, here I come!
Congratulations to everybody who got in!!! It’s a wonderful school!!!

@collegebeckons… Coming to Mumbai?? ( Darn, I have to cancel plans with friends…shucks…) See you there then

Pixie and arunemo, thanks for those kind words… yeah, after wait lists and defers, this feels good…

Rejected - Berkeley

Wait-listed - Harvey Mudd College

^Sorry to hear that itsmylife.
I know this will probably sound really weird coming from me (who was cribbing about waitlists herself few days back), but I think a Wait-list from HMC is pretty good too. That school hardly takes any students on aid. So they must have really seriously considered you. Plus the school must have a lot of cross admits with MIT/CalTech, so you probably have a good chance of getting in.
Fin aid troubles suck. I strongly dislike how they create so much trouble. It’s even worse when one gets into someplace, and can’t afford to go. :/

Same ani, Wolverine, CSF, Violator, mysticgohan (although I really don’t get why you are even waiting for other schools when you’ve got caltech/cambridge. Don’t go for the name. Go for where the employers and a real engineering education is. So I’m not as sorry for you as I am for the rest. ;)).
Ani, but don’t forget what you have. Three schools.
Don’t you have Pomona girls? And summer all around? ;)

I wish I’d applied to Cornell now. I basically Inky-Pinky-Ponkeyed my way b/w Cornell and Penn which were going to be the last Ivy I was going to apply to. I like neither school so… Just for the fin aid I did penn.

thanks pix. I hope something good comes up. :)

BTW check this out.

Hey is this just me, but I can’t see the “Threads you have created” option in my control panel.

pixie, have you looked at Statistics tab in your Your Profile?

Yeah, that one is there, but the one in my control panel just disappeared without notice. I’m insulted.

got into Berkeley :)

Congrats Karan! But you’re a Penn EDer right?

yes yes
Ill reply saying no to berkeley after my Computer Science exam.

I took it lightly and now I am screwed!!

Haha yeah thanks for that Pixie You’re right, my situation’s pretty good and Im not really bummed about Berkeley. Just not a nice thing to wake up to haha >.< To the others who couldnt make it, itsmylife has a good point, college admissions are totally random and that you shouldnt really take it to heart. There are many many more decisions to go, stay positive people! :D

How come you got in Karan your name wasn’t even on that directory raises eyebrow

Hmm my parents and sister were like what the hell $99 for a letter?! etc etc. But atleast now I know that I am not gonna be paying 100 bucks for a rejection. The weight of the letter is around 1.7 lbs according to UPS. Wow.
