aniruddh, i’m really curious if you know me or not. it would be really cool to run into someone i knew a long time ago on CC.

thanks mysticgohan!

Sure Prabhu! What other places are you waiting for?

cornell, columbia, duke, stanford. You? Not that you need it :p

Wow Prabhu! Thats a difficult list! But im sure you’ll do it! Good luck for those! :D

Stanford decisions in about 2 hours from now. Best of luck!

Rejected Stanford :/

Stanford - Reject.

Bahh I just told someone I know, let’s call her X, who also got into Swat, that I got in too. Ugh and her friend and she shared a “look”. I think she doesn’t want me to go there. Really bummed me out. I wonder if I should talk to her. :/

Lol, (censored word that rhymes with duck) X,

It’s your life that ye have to lead, and if swath was your top choice then go for it, forget what any1 else says or thinks. Besides if X does end up going to swath, then she’s only 1/1000 or so people in the undergrad class… u still have 999 other people to be friends with :P

^^Hey, don’t bother about her Puttu. You’ll find loads more interesting and nice people at Swat.
Like I said to goodwood, no obligation to mingle with crowd from the place you hail from!
Although, I would like to mingle with the international community as much as I can. :)

@bballer: I think swat enrolling number of students is ~475.

@collegebeckons: the option to get the decision by email was in the Harvard supplement to the commonapp. Didn’t you see it there?

You know what, I have no problem with X and Y. I actually like them so I was surprised at their reaction. It just really bummed me out to start on a bad note. :S And the thing is, Swat is such a small school so I we will interact a lot. But dunno :S Hope I get into some other schools tomorrow. Thanks for your support. Haha I hope there are some nice Indians wherever I end up. And people who don’t look down upon me for not doing math and sciences :P

^Hey, don’t get put off the school because of a classmate. That’s just wrong.
Swarthmore is an awesome school, and the last thing that should turn you off it is another classmate.
Plus, Puttu, everywhere you go, there will be people with whom you don’t click as well as you would have hoped. Even if it isn’t said classmate, it could be someone else. You just have to maintain a basic level of cordiality and that’s all that’s needed! :)

So wise pixie. You’re right. It is an awesome school so I am just going to be positive. I guess everyone is a bit stressed nowadays because of IVY DECISIONS!! :D

^yep.
Which schools are you waiting on?

And I just remembered, to those rejected from Stanford, well, it is need aware, with an acceptance rate of 7%, which means for those asking for FA, acceptance rate must be tending to zero. Stay upbeat!

Hey Puttu! You cant get everyone in the world to like you right? To those you who dont just always maintain a cordial facade and they wont have the heart to hate on you Knowing you, i think you’re pretty capable of being nice ;)

pfft pixie, then she can be friends with 473 people :P

Haha.

VPrabhu, I don’t know you personally but as I said in the PM, you’re an ex-student of my current school and I’ve heard your name being tossed around - a lot. Scholar.

My condolences for everyone who didn’t make it to Stanford.

Stanford was a bloodbath this year. Surprisingly, so was USC. LESS THAN ONE DAY LEFT!! Who is watching cricket? I don’t even know what time it’s on.

I should probably ask what my friend’s outcome was! He’s into MIT and he got a likely from Columbia, his top 2 choices. I’ll be really surprised if they rejected him.
