Can someone explain the housing app process? Does it work like freshman year where you pick general things, and then you were assigned a random spot or can you pick a specific spot that you know for sure that you get. How specific can you get? Also, how you your choices right now for the priority sign up thing affect the housing sign up later on.

if you pay the $30 to apply for housing, you will be assigned a random sign up time some time in march i think. during your sign up time, you can sign yourself and your roommate(s) up for a specific room in any of the buildings, as long as its not taken already.

since one person can sign up everyone else for that room (or suite in the case of 10 person singles or saxon/hitch), obviously you should have the roommate with the earliest sign up time sign up.

So basically, what I choose now doesn't limit what I can choose from later on and all it determines is my sign-up time, right?

wait, we're supposed to sign up for housing b4 we've been admitted?

^^Yeah, it doesn't matter what you choose now since everything that's final happens in March. I'd still put the people I might want to dorm with next year on the roommate list though =/

vc08, no this is for returning students. new freshmen will apply for housing after being admitted, and its mostly a random process.

LMFAO Charisma, do you live on D7!?

ohhh, okay, thanks for clarifying VTE :)
