So I got stuck in “temporary housing,” aka, a repurposed lounge until they find me a permanent room. Lovely. Who else did this happen to? And is it just me, or is it somewhat unfair to put freshmen in temporary housing instead of upperclassmen?

when did you submit your housing application, literaturegirl?

Um, the end of February, beginning of March? The thing is, I didn't submit the HRC one, which is where I wanted to be, until the first of May because I was holding out for two other schools. Can you find out what dorm you've been put in yet?

I submitted my application pretty late, and got temporary housing too, but then I got placed in Collins. I was emailed my housing info a few days ago.

what happened this fall is that an unestimated number of applicants enrolled and the university was not prepared... housing has ALWAYS been an issue at Baylor but after a week or two when people drop out/don't show up people will get moved. Im was a freshman last year and by the end of August there were dozens of empty or half-empty rooms. I'm sorry to hear this happened to you but have faith (it is Baylor ;)) and it should all work out! Sic em!

Yeah I heard about that. I hope things work out but, ha, I've tried to have faith with everything college related and so far not one thing has worked out how I wanted it to.
