I was accepted into UC San Diego and I after completing the first three steps of the housing plan I saw that I had to pay $450 to guarantee my housing. I simply am not in the economic situation to pay nearly half of a grand by the end of the month. Is there anyway I can get help for paying this??
Are you receiving significant need based financial aid? If so, I suggest you call the housing office and explain that the university is aware of your financial condition. Ask how you can complete your housing registration without the funds from financial aid.
If your university financial aid included an expected family contribution, you and your family are expected to pay this.
But call them if you can’t to ask what they can do. Some universities have housing aid funds.
My expected family contribution from my first estimate was $0, so I’m going to call them. Thanks for your help.
