The "how The heck Did I Get This Score" Thread

I wrote a crappy essay for my AP Euro Exam, crossed out the ENTIRE first page cause i wrote about a dum topic to just write something because the administrator lied to me and said I had just 7 minutes left when I actually had 40...(stupid teacher-moron)...i thought it went out ok, but for some reason I had a bad feeling for a "2" on the exam

eventually I found out I got a 5, one of like 3 in my class who did

5 on APES:
I guessed on many questions that I shouldn't have guessed on (nitpicky things that I'd never studied...) and BSed a LOT on the FRQ's. But, I guess that I BS somewhat convincingly!!! =P

5 on APUSH:
The DBQ topic? Yeah... I basically had no outside info. I was sick when we took notes in class on said topic, never read that chapter, received my worst APUSH grade all year on that quiz, and consequently decided not to study that subject due to the bad memories associated with it. I felt confident in my FRQ's, okay about the MC, and thought that everything would average out to a 3 or 4...

Okay, my physics teacher did not teach more than three weeks of electricity and magnetism. I estimate that 15-20 MC were either left blank or blindly guessed at. I left at one part blank for each FR except two, and didn't even know what to do with the electron-positron problem except write E=mcsquared all over it. I wanted a three in the worst way.... and got a 5.

Holt- be happy you never opened the book; possibly one of the worst textbooks I've ever encountered.

I've heard that AP Language exams are impossible, and I wasn't even taking French last year when I took the AP French Lang test. Expecting a 1, if not a flaming turd in an envelope.
Got a 4; had only taken two years of French fresh and soph year. Crazy.

4 on English Lang; expected

Buuuuut.. 1 on US History. Oopsies; probably should've used the essay booklet to write essays instead of making up my own sudokus.

I was so shocked at my scores once I received them.

Comparative Politics: Expected a 2, got a 4

I was signed up for 7 AP exams, so as this one was the more obscure one, I blew it off when studying for it. The class was only nine weeks, and beyond our homework assignment of 5 3-page essays, I just slept the entire time while our teacher blabbed on about all this crap I could care less about. I lost my review book, so I didn't look over anything in my 5 months from the class to the test, so I was expecting the worst. I guess I wrote those 5 essays well enough that I could b/s my way through the test to a 4.

English Language: Expecting a 2/3, got a 4
I'm confused on this one too, as I'm a reading comprehension retard. I wrote my essays on stupid things like Relay for Life and the album Nevermind. I guess I had good insight on the passage one? But that couldn't possibly override my other two essays, let alone my abysmal MC testing abilities.

U.S. Government: Expected a 2/3, got a 4

Same story as Comparative Politics really. 9 weeks class again, but this time it was a lot more work, and I studied a lot for all our tests. But I still blew it off in April/May so I thought that would hurt me, but I guess I retained enough info to pass.

Psychology: Expected a 5, got a 4

This class was a total joke, but I crammed like mad hell when May rolled around. Staying up super late the night before and cramming all morning before the afternoon test, I memorized as many names as possible, making the bare minimum connections to what they did, since I would only have to find keywords and names to get the answers on the MC correct. My method worked for the 100 question MC test, and I thought I got about 85 right putting me in good range for a 5. Then came that question about that stupid girl who couldn't find any friends and needed our help in breaking the barrier of the club clique she was trying to enter. That girl I think is what screwed me up, since I couldn't come up with much to write for her.

thought i was going to get a 2 on calc ab...that effing free response...ended up with a 5! now i never have to take math for the rest of my life :)

the free response on calc made me want to cry!! i had kicked ass on all the practice tests in class and stuff. i ended up with a 5.
i thought i was going to get like a 1 on lang/comp because i'm just bad and i ended up getting a 4. sometimes i think the college board is full of bull

4 on chem, 4 on apush

I was expecting a 1 on AP US but got a 2!!!! Pleasantly surprised..No one got higher than a 2 in my class I think

5 on psych-not surprised
5 on bio-lil bit surprised, expected a 4
4 on eng lit-lil disappointed, had hoped for a 5, expected a 4

5 on chemistry-expected
5 on calculus BC/ab subscore-right after the exam i thought i had done really horribly but then everyone else seemed to say the same thing so then i had expected a 4/5
4 on psychology-was expecting a 3, hoping for a 4, because i totally bs-ed some of the answers (didn't have a clue what some of those terms were!)
4 on government-was expecting a 5, but oh well, don't really mind.
3 on macroeconomics-was expecting 2/3 so its ok lol i totally had no idea on one of the FRQs and the other i BS-ed
3 on English Lit-this one i thought i had done relatively well on and was expecting 4/5 so the 3 came as a surprise. i was really upset about it too because i needed a 4 to get college credit :( i'm thinking about getting it rescored or just taking the CLEP for college credit...

laurstar07, there are four science classes you must take at Cornell, two of which are in mathematical reasoning.

5 on BC and 5 on AB sub-score were highly unexpected. I BSed half of the free response section and left the other half blank. I wonder why they give like 40% people a 5 if at least some of them are like me, who basically bombed the test.
Got a 4 on Human Geography after sleeping through my class and only using the barron's study guide. I was told by my friend it's the easiest AP test you will ever take, so I thought I would have gotten a 5. Kind of regreting even taking it since my school doesn't give it any credit...

123orange, your BS might have given you plenty of partial credit, as those exams are not based on correct answer = automatic 9.

US History: 5
Woot, I studied for this one and was confident for a 5.

Chemistry: 5
Fell asleep trying to cram for this the night before...got a B- in class so I was surprised and delighted

Eng Lang/Comp: 5
Was confident of writing and reading skills, expected a 4 though

Env. Science: 5
Self studied the night before the exam, I procrastinated so much on studying for this...was thinking about canceling after, but now I'm very happy about it

Calculus BC: 5
I had a B- in class, did a mock AP exam in class and scored a shocking TWO a couple weeks before the test, really really happy about this

Biology: 5
Studied for it, was confident of 5.

I forgot to mention my APUSH score, which I got a month ago(July 7).

I got a 4, but I was somewhat expecting a 5. I did mess up on 1/2 an FRQ. I got a 720 on the subject test, so I think a 4 or a 5 might have been what I expected.

I think I am one of the two people who got a 1 on APCalcBC. so much for independent study. ahah.

I got away with a 5 on Calc BC and a 5 subscore. Like 123orange, I thought I completely screwed up a lot of the FR questions.

5 on Calc AB?????
I posted that I thought 4/5 b/c I was dreaming...
I expected a 3.

5 on AP Chem was def. expected, Pleasantly surprised but was unsure with a 5 on Calc BC, w/ 5 AB subscore, 4 on Physics C and Spanish which I found really odd considering Spanish was insanly difficult (it was make up exam)
