<p>This certainly seems to be a humanities sequence done right. </p>
<p>A number of other universities also offer good humanities sequences, though Princeton clearly put some resources into theirs. The others offer sequences ranging from a required core (e.g., Columbia, Chicago) to highly selective programs (e.g., Yale’s Directed Studies) to elective programs (e.g. Wisconsin’s Integrated Liberal Studies or Minnesota’s the Humanities sequence or Michigan’s Great Books sequence).</p>
<p>A lot of students would benefit from such integrated sequences as an alternative to the scattered random courses they typically take to fulfill their distribution requirements.</p>
