I was Level 5 (barely).

Got into UCLA (oos), UW-Madison, UIUC, U of Minnesota

Nice job, Lucky. Those are awesome places.

wow ucla took you? nice

Sorry, I'm a junior, so I haven't gotten in anywhere yet, but I'm going to end up with a 3.7 unweighted GPA or lower, so I wanted to bump this thread so other people answer so they can give me hope...

I'm also a junior, freakchild. I had a horrendous sophomore year (1 D 2 Cs), but this year is looking to bring me up to a 3.6

I know someone with a 3.6 who got into Rice ED.

I had a 3.1ish GPA, including a C- average in junior math for the year, and I got into my top choice college - Berklee school of music. Problem is, music schools are way less reliant on GPA than other schools, so this won't comfort anybody going into math/science type majors.

I'm bookmarking this thread. This is the kind of stuff I like to see on CC :)

Level 4 (3.3): Reed College, Colorado College.

^ elinck, congrats! Those are two awesome schools :)

Level four (3.36)--->
Thus far, I've been accepted to Tulane, University of Vermont, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY New Paltz and FSU.

lulz no ivies yet? hmm.....

I think peeps should be adding if there's a hook involved....and # of honors/AP's?

thank god for normal people getting into good schools! we don't need 4.0's afterall!

level 5:smith

I also know a 3.6---->WashU no hook. but from a really good school.

level4 (3.22)
so far i've only gotten into quinnipiac.
i got into penn state altoona and was deferred from marist. rejected from uconn
still waiting on syracuse, university of delaware, rutgers and northeastern.

I have a 3.6 (UW) - I don't think it's low at all (which this thread seems to be implying). Honestly, IMO it all depends on your course rigor. However, CC seems to have an overabundance of 3.8+ which is absolutely incredible if your school is hard to do well in, like mine is. 3.6 or so is still top 10% here.

I'll post where I get in once I actually do :) So far I'm in the RU Honors program though.

Congrats neethus. I wasn't implying that a 3.6 is low (that is my goal gpa by the end of the year), but it's like you said. There is an insane amount of people on here with even higher GPAs, that I was curious about the people with other GPAs. It's similar to the <2300 thread that I saw. a 2200 is still awesome, and really anything 2000+ is considered very good.
