The "I Got in without a 3.7+ GPA" club

Bump because this thread gave me a ton of hope last year

Level 5 (barely)

UW rounds to 3.4
W rounds to 4.4

Top 7% (but school doesnā€™t officially rank)

Highest ACT = 34
Superscore ACT = 35

Washington University in St. Louis (ED)
University of Chicago
Simpson College (20k/year scholarship)
UIUC

I think I have a 3.3 uw/3.8 w but Iā€™m not exactly sure because my school goes by the 100-point scale. Top 30% of my class. 1770 SATā€™s. I got into Emerson EA for Writing, Lit & Publishing and am waiting to here from Ithaca and Lesley but Iā€™m pretty much set on Emerson. :)

This thread is a great eye opener :-)

3.6 uw
3.9 w
1710 sat
great ECs and service work, etc

Accepted Purdue, Loyola of Maryland, John Carroll, James Madison, WVU, Ohio U so far.

Can we bring this thread back please? anyone get in ED with a sub 3.7 gpa?

Bumpity Bump.
My IDIOT sister just got two C+s her first semester of junior year. She is getting great SAT scores though and is trilingual. Sheā€™s kind of a genius. An idiot genius (sheā€™s really lazy). Perhaps current seniors can post their acceptances?

I got into Lesley and Ithaca too! with $. This makes my decision difficult

I know a guy with a 2320 below a 3.5( with very few APs or honors) who got into CMU

3.4: U of Minnesota, U of Wisconsin, U of Nebraska-Lincoln, U of Kansas, U of Southern California!

It takes a lot of AP classes, volunteer work, and good recommendations. :P

3.3 UW, 3.65 (?) W. 28 ACT. REALLY good subjectives (ECs, recs, essays, ect). Accepted into Hamilton College ED as a Jan. Into Hartwick, UVM, Washington Coll, and Dickinson, all with merit aid. Waiting on many more RD decisions, I will keep updating!

^^^You need to withdraw from all other schools if you got accepted ED, unless you are waiting to hear back about your FA from Hamilton. The only way you could not go to Hamilton is if you couldnā€™t afford to go.

Hands down the best thread on CC. Gave me a lot of hope too so Iā€™ll try to post back regularly.

but it depends on what major the person is going into, right?

not to be rudeā€¦ I mean I have a GPA thatā€™s below 3.7+Asian so thatā€™s going to hurt, but Iā€™m just skeptical.
