That’s awesome dude congrats!

I have a 3.56 and a 2350. The e-mail from WashU is sitting in my e-mail account, but I’m not going to check. I don’t want my first college decision to be a rejection hahahaha

@needlt

On second thought, I looked at your comment history. You applied for college last year. Go ■■■■■ somewhere else dude, we don’t need false hope here.

If I hadn’t pestered my math teacher to update my first-semester grade with enough extra credit (which, to be clear, I did do - he just lost it) to boost me from a B to an A, I’d have a place on this thread. I’ve gotten into UIUC, Miami OH, and Kentucky.

@tysonisasaint

I applied to college this year. I started asking for chances before last year with the GPA I would expect to have if I got straight A’s my junior year. I even made up expected ACT and SAT scores cause I wanted proper opinions. I am dead serious about the acceptances and have no reason to ■■■■■ at all. I’m not gonna spread false hope, but I do want people to understand that they have a chance like I do.

I was JUST accepted into my first choice, Emerson College, with a 3.1 GPA UW. Their minimum UW is a 3.6.
SAT: 1750
Was deferred EA. I’m so, so, SO happy right now.

@needlt

I apologize, I’m a little on edge right now. Congrats on your acceptances, that is really encouraging.

UW GPA: 3.4
2240 SAT
All AP/Honors
Major upward trend
Great ECs, Essays, and Recs.
School does not rank but my class rank would be super low if they did

Accepted to NYU Stern!!!

In case anyone wants to know merit aid stuff I stuck that in there too:

As of right now, I have been accepted to:
Tulane (Paul Tulane Award -Full Tuition, but I also got a 24k automatic merit scholarship and honors college admission)
Clark U (Worcester) [about 14k in merit]
Marquette [like, 12k a year in merit? I don’t remember]
Wellesley (EE)
University of Alabama (strongly encourage people like me to apply since they have a full tuition scholarship for people with 3.5+ and a partial tuition for I think 3.25+ or something).

Still waiting on: Yale (haha, no), Williams (haha, no), Macalester (don’t really care), and Vassar (haha, no)

Schools doesn’t rank, wouldn’t be very high if they did.
34 ACT, 1980 SAT (god I hate that test). 1450 CR+M
No trend at all. I have literally had a 3.5 my entire high school career. I would get all As and a C would balance it out. Or I’d get an A,B mix.

Oh and I should add that I was accepted to those schools with a 17 ACT I did take and resend my ACT of 19 but that was after decisions had been made. I also got a 3,000$ per year scholarship to Morrisville with those scores. OOS for all those school. Only 1 honors course, and no AP’s. So I really have no idea how I was accepted to UCDavis but I’m gonna just go with it.

This thread gives me hope but there’s like a little voice in the back of my head that’s going “they probably have amazing EC’s and is captain of two sports team and won some prestigious award and have legacy or is an URM”.
It’s really unnerving because I’m also reading a thread where people with 4.5 W GPAs and 2300+ SAT scores are getting rejected…

Edit: also can the people who got into Hamilton pleeeeeaassssee PM me?

3.6 GPA
2200 SAT

Just really impress on the adcoms how much you want to go.

Got in to a top 20 USNW school.

3.3 GPA
2000 SAT

GWU
Wake Forest

3.6 GPA, 1890 SAT. great essay,rec’s. this thread gave me a lot of hope last year, thought I had a shot at some top schools, but d-day has come and it turns out i didn’t.
Denied NYU EDII, W&M, Emory, UVA, and GW. I’ll be heading to UM in the fall, I was offered a spot in their DC program so I’ll be doing that.
I don’t know if I didn’t apply to the right schools, or what, but my advice to future applicants, choose carefully! good luck to all!
