The "I Got in without a 3.7+ GPA" club

Did you guys also have under the top 10% rank?

I'm level 4 and I got into university of Colorado and deferred by Northeastern University and still haven't heard from UT.

I highly doubt I'm in the top 10%. But my school doesn't do deciles anymore so I can't really be sure.

I know someone this year who is:

level 5 UW (pretty low but with demanding courseload of all AP's and honors) with <2300 SATs but stellar EC's and essays who got into:

U Notre Dame
U of Chicago
Johns Hopkins (where he'll be going)
Pepperdine U
U of Mich OOS
and UNC Chapel Hill OOS

all early too lol.

level 5, got into Macalester EDI

this post gives me hope!

DAMN at hope and treble.

That makes me feel so good, lol.

That gives me some hope Hope2getrice. I am really, really wanting to go to UNC-Chapel Hill, but I dont have a 4.4 GPA. I know I will have to rape on my SAT's, but to no someone w/ a 3. something GPA got in makes me fell a little better.

has anyone gotten into USC (University of Southern California) with less than a 3.7 GPA and also OOS?

I just reread my post and realized that people could take it the wrong way - I didn't mean to demean hope and treble - I actually meant, DAMN as in, DAMN that's AWESOME! And that makes me feel so good as in, wow, I may actually get into some of my reaches with my GPA too!

Level 5
Vanderbilt ED1!!!

i applied to usc with a 3.3 hoping i get in

what you should all realize is that the essay plays a humongous role in admissions. I read my friend's main essay for his apps and it simply blew my mind away and I'm sure that that played a big part in him getting into those amazing schools

my friend had slightly below a 3.4, no E.C.'s, pretty decent SATs and got into Williams.

College of Charleston
Level 5 barely: 3.44/1240 SAT

I've been holding my breathe for that first acceptance. At least now, we know he's going to college! It seems that the lower the GPA, the longer the wait.

I'm just wondering are these grades weighted or not?

Again...Level 3 (2.97)

Accepted: D'Youville College into the nursing program. Got the letter today!

3.34

In at UIUC for engineering

:]

Haven't heard from any other colleges yet.

Queen's mother: My S's GPA is weighted although he has only taken 3 AP classes so his UW GPA is not really much different.

Contrats SDRL!

LEVEL 4
3.3 GPA weighted
got into TULANE UNIVERSITY with a $17,000 scholarship!
