The ideal man

I'm sorry deluxe. to be honest, though, i think the same thing about guys. i recently moved to a new place and i was shocked that like a million guys hit on me before they even knew me, the nice guys were all taken, and the nice guys that weren't taken were....weird. like socially awkward. And the girls are really REALLY catty and evidently (from what i've overheard) take pride in stealing others' boyfriends and find it a challenge. and i say to myself...what a wonderful world.

I guess XaserT is a dumbass or one of those guys who berate women in general because they can't get one.

lol, thanks a lot!

They don't even have souls, IMO.

Does anyone have a soul?

My ideal guy would fit a very small mold :P

-ethnically Jewish or Hispanic (bonus points if both)
-speaks Spanish and at least one other foreign language fluently (or are learning to fluency)
-ambitious
-not waiting for marriage
-does not necessarily believe in marriage
-Unitarian Universalist, agnostic, atheist, Reconstructionist Jew, or Buddhist
-on the chubby side- I don't like bulging muscles but a bit is ok
-left-leaning activist
-as knowledgable as me about politics and current events
-reads the newspaper cover to cover
-similar sense of humor as me (if he can crack up to House, we're good)
-plays a musical instrument but is not pursuing a music career
-has the educational and personal means to be financially stable once out of school (if not out of school already)
-educated, though not necessarily in the traditional way
-3 to 8 years older

I only know what 2 of those symbols mean!!! :(

DELUXE!!! UGH! What is WRONG WITH YOU???

Most girls are alcoholic and slutty and don't know what they want in life. They don't even have souls, IMO.

[/quote]

I don't believe MOST girls are alcoholic and slutty! I believe you are attracted to or hang out with ****ty people! The not knowing what they want in life, I can agree with. However, I think this is how a lot of young people, male or female, are like.

That always happens to me! o_o

Add that to my list. Very sexy!!

I also forgot to say my ideal man reads more than me.

cilverclover, that's what i'm talking about! a southern european!! i'm not a girl, but if i was, i would admire salvador dali to death cuz he has that cool spanish laid-back manliness...also he has black hair.
i used to think that italian men are the best-looking with their beautiful voice, ferrari, artistic sensibilities...but an hispanic is cooler! they have a more persian or asian look...especially some of the women have the asian submissive and humble attitude (probably derived from the moors)...actually arab men are cool too. just look at Zidane!!!!!!!! his the LORD OF FRANCE!!

another ideal man is an african (not african american). they have class too u know!! just look at Thierry Henry. i bet french women are infatuated with his agility.

LOL! An african with class??? Sauron, all I gotta say is... stay away from NIGERIAN men!

Well, actually... there are some good ones. But be wary!! :P

I just think it would be really hot to have a boyfriend and he's all ****ed off so he starts rambling in spanglish and I just come over and start kissing him. XP

I think it's forbidden to write anything but english in this forum. Also, your japanese sentence sounds awkward

"rambling" no no no. u should say "singing" romance languages are artistic, and sounds like poetry. small wonder considering that most of western art, fashion, etc. come from those countries.

charizard, u are finally outdone... u thought u were the only japanese speaker in this forum, feeling confident in ur mistakes..but, BOOM!! gotcha! what does that do to ur ego?? definitely detrimental! hahe

Ehhhh have you heard the popular spanish songs right now? they suck ass.

Must have a great sense of humor similar to mine

and modest too! :D

Well, you can have a great sense of humor but I won't find you funny at all. :P Like the people who wrote 40 Year Old Virgin have great senses of humor but I could never date a guy who had a similar one. Would drive me nuts. I have a dark, dry sense of humor and expect the guys I date to have the same as this is kind of a big deal in my life.

Just repeating what everyone tells me ;)

I could go on about how much I rock according to the last guy I met, but that might be overkill :)

Ugh we're still talking about the ideal man. Whatever...go watch Snow White if you want to know what women want.

Oh on languages, Vietmanize sounds bad sung. I just heard some songs at a market the other day and they just didn't sound good....

Pearlygate: how exactly is that awkward? Next time correct me instead of just critisizing my art!

Well, someone asked what we individual girls like... Not what women like in general.

Uhhh personally, Prince whatever-his-name from Snow White never did much for me... he was a bit too, I don't know, princely? I prefer guys with more character and an interesting quirk here or there rather than the classic "prince charming."

Eh, the "prince charming" type bores me.

I need someone who breaks the mold and can keep me on my toes. None of those cookie-cutter-nicey-nice-almost-fake guys for me.

Basically, I want a good guy with some spunk.

^ The prince from Snow White only appeared for like 30 seconds in the whole movie.

Well, DeluzeHardballer, that's the main reason why he doesn't appeal to me a least. I mean, thirty seconds isn't very much time for a personality to develop. If you like Snow White's prince you're the type of girl who goes for "chiseled features" along, I guess. I like more substance ALONG with attractive feaures :-)

I like Beauty and the Beast much better than Snow White, which discriminates against short people, but one of my friends said that I only like movies if, in some element of it, the woman saves the brilliant/troubled/etc. man with love or whatever.

It's not that much fun if absolutely everything is mush. Most people challenges and the chase. Like Robin Williams' definition of a soul mate in Good Will Hunting, "someone who challenges you."
