the "I'm still in the "being reviewed" status" thread

I've had this one:
[Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th]

Since 2/11. Nothing has changed! Anybody else out there? (out there....out there......out there...echo haha sorry im a dork)

YAY I have been waiting for someone to start a thread like this! I have had the same status as you since 2/13 and no news. I am trying to stay positive though!

Yup, since 2/6. There are quite a number of us, actually.

are we more likely the rejected ones or the accepted ones?

Good, that makes me feel a little bit better.. next wave maybe? :) It seems like most people that have found out already had theirs updated just before us.

My status updated to "being reviewed" today.

iv had that status on that since 2/27...yea im gessin ill be in the wave with yu guys or maybe the wave after that...although i know a few people on this board whos status changed to being reviewd on 2/27 and 2/28 buth eard from them in the first wave ...so it might just be quite random and our dates might not matter'

I think that's a good sign. Most of the people admitted during the most recent wave had that status (myself included- I had been stuck "in review" since 1/29!) Best of luck and hang in there!

I agree with gotrojans! You guys all have a high chance of getting in :) Good luck and stay positive!

Thanks guys that made me feel more reassured.

Mine says:

' We have received and are currently reviewing your application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application."

Is that the same thing as other people's? Noone answers my question. Ive asked this like 4 times already in different threads.

Is this is the same as 'being reviewed' status?
I'm international btw

yea that is should be the same....

No... I don't think it's the same. The one people are referring to on this thread is "Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th". Often people refer to the above status as the "being reviewed" status.

no no...its not the same....i got that right in the beggining after which they reported missing documents, completed preliminary review and then said that my application was being reviewd by the admission committee..

Mine's been in review since 2/25 too, maybe this next week is our wave? Or maybe just wishful thinking. This process is so excruciatingly long! Mine was in preliminary review before the change for a WHILE, so I'm hoping for the best.

Being reviewed by the admissions committee since the 24th. I believe there has been a mailing done today given that it's Friday and I believe SoCalers have been reporting getting admission letters on Saturdays, the next day. Let's see if that holds true tomorrow if some SoCalers start posting that they've been admitted.

good point QuixoticRick, that'll probably be a good indicator of a new wave and probable waves to come. let's hope those letters get to us Norcalers soon though!

We're in NorCal so we'll probably get it on the next mailing business day (Monday) if they did in fact release a wave today.

Well if there was a wave im not in it cuz im international and i didnt recieve any email from DHL......damn it...i gess ill hav to wait one more week..

I'm in Socal and if everything speculated so far happens to be true, I'll receive something in the mail tomorrow (my status was last changed on February 6th, making people with my status the "next" group). I'll be sure to let you all know.

I'm not only excited at the prospect of being accepted, but also at the idea of establishing a set pattern -- we would all have guessed right.
