<p>East coast over here, checked my mail and got nothing from USC, although Miami (FL) sent me an acceptance, which was nice seeing as it's the first college I've heard back from. </p>

<p>i've been on "being reviewed" for 2 weeks already i think, what does this mean? <em>sigh</em>, especially some people's just changed a couple days ago, while mies has been like this for a while</p>
<p>We can't be sure, but I'd definitely take yours already having said that as a good sign. </p>
<p>Mine changed yesterday. I think a lot of people's did so I'm not too optimistic about it.</p>
<p>it seems that the longer you have been in review, the more like you are to be accepted in this wave. The people accepted in the last wave (sent out 2-29) had been in review since late january/early february. I myself have been in review since 2-22 and I am getting very anxious. I hope I'm accepted in this wave :X (or at all for that matter lol)</p>
<p>I got my acceptance package last week, and my status told me that the admissions committee had acted on my decision. For some reason I still cannot log into the deposit page, and suddenly my status says 'is being reviewed'. Is it possible they are taking back their decision? Lol, im paranoid, but still...</p>
<p>It seems like the new status for everyone who has applied is 'being reviewed'... wonder if they did that to stop people from asking about their status?</p>

<p>So I'm in SoCal....and today was the day that the second wave was supposed to happen. It didn't happen. Didn't get anything in the mail. THe theories were wrong! Or maybe their sending them out later? Yea so the waves aren't every friday. We'll just have to keep on waiting. TORTURE!!!!!!</p>

<p>symphonyofs0ound-yea according to what the cc community's conclusions....your position right now is the most likely that is coming in the next wave this friday. We'll just have to wait and see if their the cc community's conclusions were right. People were right about the wave stuff....sort of. would you consider yourself a strong applicant? or medium-ish</p>
<p>I think people who went into review after 3-1 are more likely to be in the last wave than the next one. It takes some time to go through committee and get the decision finalized and all. The next wave seems like it would consist of those who went into review between 2-11 to 2-28.</p>

<p>I don't think it means you are not in. Could just be stragglers from the last wave. Maybe these people are waiting for a confirmation from another USC school. It is also possible that something happened during finalization or committee that pushed the applicant to admit-. Its really hard to say whats going on for that group of people.</p>

<p>oh and btw, people have been rejected, it is the definite no group (as in you really had no chance). My mom has class with one of the main people in admissions and he said there are 4 groups:
Yes w/ scholarship
Yes w/o scholarship
Definitely No
Maybe</p>
