how bad is it if i’m submitting my applications in really late?

<p>how late? a day might be ok if, like p-ton, they set their postage deadline on a sunday.................!??!?!?!?!!</p>
<p>Do you mean late as in right at or before the prescribed deadline or as in after the college's deadline has passed? If the former it won't make any difference except potentially at rolling admissions colleges because usually the earlier you apply to those the higher your chances of admission. If the latter, your application will be rejected by a lot of colleges, although a number still consider it (but many times with the ones that do you will not be considered until they have made all decisions relating to those who applied on time and thus you will be admitted only if space is left).</p>

<p>because I heard from somewhere that submitting right before the deadline means you have a small chance of getting in...</p>
